The specifications of the new BMW 2 series coupe 220d x drive has now been released and is valid from 3/2015. The all new BMW comes with a 1499cc in line 3 cylinder engine with 4 valves. The pistons in the engine have a stroke of 94.6 mm and a bore of 82.0 mm. This engine works at a compression ratio of 11.0 and the fuel used is RON91(regular unleaded).This car is said to produce 136 hp or 100 KW between 4500 and 6000 rpm and a torque of 220 Nm at 1250 rpm. The specified engine technology will include BMW Twin power turbo technology for the turbocharger, and for the fuel injection is a direct injection system high precision injection, fully variable valve control which BMW calls (VALVETRONIC) and VANOS variable camshaft timing for high precision.

The braking system for both front and rear contains a single – piston floating calliper disc brakes. The driving stability systems include ABS (Anti-lock breaking system) ,ASC (Automatic Stability Control) and DTS(Dynamic Traction control), CBC (cornering Brake Control),DBC (Dynamic Brake Control), brake drying function. The car is well equipped with safety systems which include standard driver and front passenger airbags, driver and front seat passenger side airbags, head airbags front (front and rear), three-point automatic seatbelts for all seats, seat belt tensioners and seatbelt force limiters in front seats , crash sensors and tyre pressure indicator.
